CAT starts on a smooth note in the city
Hyderabad: Barring a few minor technical glitches, the Common Admission Test (CAT) started on Saturday across the country, including at the two centres in Hyderabad.
About 15,000 students from the State have registered for the CAT of which 70 per cent are from Hyderabad. Some candidates who appeared for the test in the city termed it as on expected lines, said K. Ramnath, course director at TIME.
As expected, the test was held in two sections and not three sections as last year.
Students opined that the first section of Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation was a bit tough than Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension and Logical Reasoning, in the second section.
The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held till November 18 and the results are likely to be announced on January 11 next year.
The two centres in Hyderabad are Prometric Centre in Banjara Hills and MLR Institute of Engineering and Technology at Dundigal.
