ICET ranks released; Hyderabad boys bag four ranks
  • Pradeep Reddy of Hyderabad bags first rank by securing 185 out of 200 marks
Visakhapatnam: Padda Pradeep Reddy of Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad topped the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) 2011 scoring 185 out of 200 marks.

The ranks list was released here on Thursday by Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University and Chairman of ICET 2011 B. Satyanarayana. ICET is meant for admission into MBA and MCA courses in State universities.
Hyderabad secured four of the top 10 ranks, including the fourth ranker Jinka Panduranga Yadav belonging to BC-D category.

The women's top rank went to Kappagantu Lavanya of Vijayawada (179 marks) who is 11th overall.

Out of the 1,50,794 candidates who have registered for the test, 1,40,210 appeared and 1,26,454 (90.19 per cent) of them have qualified, ICET 2011 convenor and principal of AU College of Engineering G.S.N. Raju informed. AU Registrar P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy and others were present.

Toppers
Malapaka V.S.S. Sharma who secured sixth rank (181 marks) was topper in Visakhapatnam. P Rahul of Visakhapatnam (180) was 10th.

The top 10 rankers are 1. P. Pradeep Reddy (185), 2. Nori Aditya Kiran, Hyderabad (185), 3. Pillutla Anirudha Ashish, Guntur (183), 4. Jinka Panduranga Nayak Yadav, Hyderabad (181), 5. Areef Ali Shaik, Srikakulam ((181), 6. M.V.S. S. Sharma, Visakhapatnam (181), 7. Chimalakonda N.A. Chandra , Pipparla, West Godavari district, (181), 8. Mikkilineni Jayasimha, Hyderabad (180), 9. Suhel Ahmed Khada Y Syed, Bangalore (180), 10. Pinnamaneni Rahul, Visakhapatnam (180).

Following are toppers in different categories: BC-A Y. Vamsee (19th rank overall, 171 marks; BC-B G. Ravi Venkateswarlu (16th, 175); BC-C B. Nikhita Persis (231st, 143); BC-D J. Panduranga Nayak Yadav (fourth, 181); BC-E Mohammad Shabbaaz (70th, 161); SCs Vusala Priyatam (21st, 172) and STs H. Nagendra (509th, 132).

Candidates with B.E. or B.Tech. degree were most successful, with 98 per cent of them having secured the qualifying mark.

Prof. Raju said the rank cards would be sent to the candidates by June 10 and will also be available on the ICET website from June 12. The final key is on the website.

Verification of OMR answer sheet and issue of a photocopy of the OMR is provided to the candidates.Duplicate rank cards and hall tickets will be issued on payment of Rs. 50 (through a DD) along with an application to the Convenor.
